CDIT Open Studios: Brightwave & DV8 share the apprenticeships model in action.

Find out how apprenticeships can help companies tap into the next generation of digital talent. Attendees will find out more about apprenticeships from DV8 Sussex - the provider of foundation learning and training in the creative industries in Sussex - and hear from Brightwave on how apprenticeship scheme has worked for them as a leading Brighton digital company. Delegates will also hear from the apprentices themselves.

As part of the 2013 Creative, Digital & IT Open Studios week Brightwave and DV8 Sussex are teaming up to show how apprenticeships can help uncover the next generation of digital and creative superstars in Brighton.

Brightwave’s Director of Talent Alison Mitchell- Innes will be joined by a team from DV8 Sussex including Dan Wallman (Managing Director), Richard Freeman (Operations Director) and Sue Bradley (Apprenticeships Coordinator) who will present the following:

  • What are apprenticeships, really?
  • What’s in it for Brighton digital business?
  • What does an apprentice look like?
  • Why did Brightwave join the scheme
  • A year on, how has it worked for Brightwave?

Plus, hear from Brightwave’s own apprentices who will ‘bring a unit to life’ and showcase the quality of work they’ve produced in the workplace following their time in the classroom.

Refreshments will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunity for networking and Q&A with each of the presenters.
